Ms. Gertrude Osei-Diko is a product of University for Development Studies. She obtained her Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry) degree in 2011. Gertrude has special interest in areas such as virus cleaning and indexing, micro-propagation and conservation of germplasm (in-vitro). Ms. Osei-Diko has attended a lot of training programmes, prominent among them include, protocol on biosafety and related obligation, laboratory safety and biosafety technique, laboratory quality management workshop, ISO 17025 workshop, Jumpstarting Sweet potato Virus Indexing Training and Database Training WAAPP Ghana National Center of Specialization on root and tuber and Innovation in Agriculture Biotechnology Forum for Women in Science.

 

Ms. Belinda Akomea pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Cape Coast. She read Bachelor of Science (Laboratory Technology) and graduated 2008. Ms. Akomea having worked with the Crop Research Institute for some time, decided to undertake a postgraduate studies in Plant Biotechnology at the University of Adelaide, SA, Australia and graduated in December 2016. She has interest in the following areas plant disease diagnosis, molecular fingerprinting, and genetic diversity studies on roots and tubers, legumes, cereals and cash crops, etc. she is well versed in the use of molecular tools and techniques such as marker assisted selection. Belinda has attended a lot of workshops and seminars within and outside the country.

 

Mr. Paul Marno is a Chief Technical Officer with the CSIR Crops Research Institute and also with the Department of Plant Resources Development, Kumasi Campus CSIR College of Science and Technology, Department of Plant Resources Development, Kumasi Campus. He is a product of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He holds Master degree in Agronomy with specialization in Plant Breeding. His area of interest is breeding of leguminous crops.

 

Ms. Linda Appianimaa Abrokwah holds Master of Philosophy degree in Crop Protection with specialization in Plant Virology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She graduated in 2016. Ms. Abrokwah’s interest are extraction of DNA from crops like cocoyam, sweet potato, yam, plantain to create a DNA genetic bank. DNA Extraction from Fungi for Fungi Diversity Studies, using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) to amplify DNA segments of interest for characterization, disease tolerance, drought tolerance among others. She has attended a lot of local workshops in Ghana. Ms. Abrokwah is married.
