Welcome to the CSIR College of Science and Technology (CCST). CCST, which is affiliated to the University of Cape Coast, is devoted to providing quality education that addresses the challenges of industries, businesses and local communities. We achieve these goals through excellence in teaching and learning as well as through innovative research and public engagement. The strength of CCST is its people; Staff who have the experience in developing applied technologies and students who have the imagination, and an appetite for solving the problems of society. Additionally, we have excellent IT, library and laboratory facilities at the CCST campuses. Also, the College has field stations located strategically across the different ecological zones of Ghana and these stations facilitate innovative research, teaching and learning-by-doing. To make it much more convenient for students to educate themselves, we use blended learning and digital education technologies, and these offer learners of all ages the flexible access to the education they need.
The College offers programmes in Natural Sciences and Environmental Management at various Master’s degree levels including MSc/MPhil in Climate Change and Integrated Natural Resources Management, MSc/MPhil Industrial Animal Nutrition and Feed Technology, MPhil Food Science and Technology, MSc/MPhil Fisheries, MSc/MPhil Soil Health and Environmental Resources Management and MPhil in Plant Breeding and Biotechnology. In addition, the College offers short-term training in Entrepreneurship to enhance the chances of employment and community development. Plans are underway to roll out various postgraduate programmes in Materials Science and Engineering as well as to offer PhD levels degree programmes. I invite you to enrol to upgrade your knowledge and skills in our programmes. You are guaranteed an enhanced postgraduate research experience and deepened postgraduate education in the offered programmes. You are welcome to support CCST in its efforts to train students and produce graduates who will help to tackle the new and complex challenges of climate change and natural resources management confronting our society today.
